Experience in the Industry
After four years in the e-Communication program, I have learned many valuable things. Industry wise, I know how to effectively use programs such as Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop. I also know how to run cameras, use tripods, and microphones. After working on our weekly show ONW NOW, I have also learned how to run the sound system that we use.
Aside from what I have learned industry wise, I have also learned how to manage a class schedule, and make sure people are doing what they are assigned, and meeting deadlines, as well as managing the sports section of our school website.
On the communication side of the program, what I have learned has been an invaluable tool for me. I have learned to communicate and work with a multitude of people and personalities. I have also learned to be more confident in myself and my work.
Rockhurst University
After high school, I am planning on attending Rockhurst University. I have signed to continue my baseball career there, and I also plan to double major in Sports Management and Business Communication. Both of these majors fit my interests and I think they both correlate with what I've been doing in the e-Communication program very well. The business communication program consists of journalism, mass communication, and some business aspects for marketing and public relations which all correspond with the e-Communication program.
